karyn mannix contemporary is honored to present What Becomes a Legend Most…Icons and Idols of the Silver Screen, an inspired Juried Art Show.

The exhibit will feature contemporary art pieces incorporating inspiration from classic Icons & Idols, whether it be in front or behind the camera, from artists all over the country.

 

Some works, on view through October, include a digital image titled ‘VoicePix of Lauren Bacall "To me, a legend is something that is not on this earth."’ (Taken from Interview with Lauren Bacall. Aired May 6, 2005 - LARRY KING LIVE) by Amy Gilvary(Boston).

Another is an oil painting of James Dean, standing a little over six-feet in height, by artist Jack Rosenberg (NYC).

Also on display are a number of painted portraits and photographs of  “Legends”. The show will run in conjunction with 24th Annual The Hamptons International Film Festival (October 6-10, 2016)
